5 of 5 good turbo cam, but check the timing July 16, 2013
Reviewer: Bob Meyer from Scotts Valley, CA United States
On my turbo engine, I replaced a 2211 Bigfoot cam with the 2288 K-8. Both cams have similar .050 timing, with the 2211 having higher lift. IMHO, the 2288 works better, even with less lift - goes to show timing specs aren't everything. But check the valve timing - I installed mine with new straight cut timing gears and straight up it was 7 degrees advanced. Talk about production tolerance stack-up! But anyway, when degreed properly the cam works excellent with the turbo. So if you get a new cam, check the timing, especially if you also get new timing gears. If you don't know how, find out how or get someone to do it for you - your engine will thank you.
