This crank is beautiful, I got it to fit in a stock case with 5.5" unitech rods. I only needed to clearance some grooves and support material on the tops and bottoms of the cylinder holes in the case with a hand grinder, as well as the center cam journal. It took a few hours, but I don't have any vw machine shops nearby, and it turned out great! Because unitech rods are clearanced already, the top of the case was left alone. I did have some trouble getting my woodruff keys to fit though, I had to sand them down a few thousandths to get them to fit. Nevertheless, this crank is amazing for the price! Don't forget to remove the small allen set-screws on the crank, clean them, and loctite them back in place!
