Sea Sand Sedan

Engine Specs: The engine is a stock 1972 1600cc low compression, with a 12v conversion. The interior was updated with all cloth at the same time. I installed a CB Performance lowered disc brake kit recently and drive the car almost everyday. The color is the original VW Sea Sand.

I've owned this car since 1970 and completely rebuilt it in 1993. It won a second and third place trophys at the Sacremento Bug meets in 1996 in the semi custom class. I will one day pass it on to one of my children - it's been a great car.

Engine Specs: The engine is based around a Universal Super Case, and Street Eliminator Heads - Ported and Polished. Utilizes a 1.25 Rocker Arm Kit, a Serpentine Belt System, and Match-Ported Manifolds. Kennedy Stage-2 Clutch, and Dropped Link Pin Disc Brake Kit with the Early WIDE 5 Pattern.

The car is well known among local VW fans. Where ever it goes it is a one-of-a-kind. The car picked up 'Best Modified Bug-All Years' and 'Best Body and Paint' at "The day of the Volkswagen" in November of 2002. On Sunday March 30th, it won the title of 'Best Bug' at the Volkswagen Jamboree here in Victoria, in contest that featured over 100 vehicles.

"The car is a 1959 VW Type 1, factory ragtop. The body is restored and painted in 2 pack Spies Hecker black. The body is fitted to a 1968 IRS semi auto pan that has been converted to a manual shift. The floorpan is powder coated (TruBlu/Blaze Blue).

Uses a Bus Transmision with special gears for riding on short-track sand circuit, limited diff is 60%.
